Scholarships & Grade Levels

The candidates listed under the tabs include some students presently accepted by the project and notes where students already have scholarship sponsors for this year. Secondaria is the equivalent of Junior-high school with the 1^st year equal to the 7th grade in the U.S., the 2^nd year is 8^th grade and the 3^rd year is 9^th grade. Likewise, Bachilleres or Preparatoria is the same as high school with the 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd year being the same as 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th grades. Grade averages are on a scale of 1 to 10, thus a grade of 9.8 would represent 98%. Each student provided the main body of information with supplemental notes added by Doug Rhodes, a local resident and owner of the Paraiso del Oso Hotel near Cerocahui.  Go to our subpages to learn about students and check back frequently to note any changes.
